Singer and actor Kim Se-jeong will drop her first full-length album "The Door "on Sept. 4.
The upcoming album will be Kim's first solo album release in more than two and a half years since her second EP "I'm" was released in March 2021.
A one-minute long teaser video released on Tuesday showed Kim in a black-and-white video, showing a glimpse into her first full-length album.
Kim debuted in 2016 as a member of project girl group I.O.I after coming in second place on cable network Mnet's idol audition program "Produce 101" (2016–17). She also spent time as part of Jellyfish Entertainment's girl group gugudan from 2016 to 2020.
She also dropped her first solo track "Flower Way" in 2016. The track, produced by singer-songwriter and producer Zico, landed No. 1 on Melon and other Korean streaming services' real-time charts upon its release.
Since then, she has focused on acting, starring in shows such as OCN's "The Uncanny Counter" (2020–21) and SBS's "A Business Proposal" (2022).
Kim announced her first solo concert tour "The Door" on Monday, which will kick off with a two-day concert in Seoul on Sept. 23 and 24, followed by performances in 10 other regions, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. It will be Kim's first official solo concert series after holding a series of meet-and-greet events with fans in Asia last year.
