HYBE's newest boy band BoyNextDoor will release its first EP next month, three months after its debut last May.
The band's EP, titled "Why..," will be released on Sept. 4 as the second new project for the rookie six-member boy band from KOZ Entertainment, a subsidiary of K-pop powerhouse HYBE, founded by rapper and producer Zico.
Details of the upcoming EP, such as the number of songs and lead track, will be released on Aug. 17 when the tracklist will be released, followed by concept photos of the members on Aug. 20.
BoyNextDoor made its debut with single "WHO!" with members Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan and Woonhak.
The name "boy next door" is meant to give a friendly and approachable vibe, according to the agency. The band was the first new boy band to debut under HYBE this year.
KOZ Entertainment was founded in 2018 by Zico and acquired by HYBE in 2020. Zico debuted as the leader of boy band Block B in 2011 and has also had a successful solo career with songs like “Tough Cookie” (2014), “Artist” (2017) and “Any Song” (2020).
