Seven contestants from Mnet’s hit audition show “Boys Planet” will form a new boy band BLIT under Jellyfish Entertainment, according to the agency on Thursday.
Mun Jung-hyun, Park Ji-hoo, Park Han-bin, Yoo Seung-eon, Lee Jeong-hyeon, Ji Yun-seo and Keita will be part of the band. The seven members did not make it on the list of finalists on “Boys Planet” but gained global popularity through the show.
According to Jellyfish’s announcement, the agency took notice of the seven talents and contacted their agencies — WakeOne, Yue Hua Entertainment and Rain Company — who agreed to create the project group.
BLIT stands for “Boldly Leaping into Tomorrow” and is set to launch this year.
Meanwhile, the nine finalists of “Boys Planet” formed boy band ZeroBaseOne in April and made its debut in July.
