NewJeans topped Billboard 200 chart with "Get Up," making NewJeans the second K-pop girl group to land atop the chart.
Billboard 200 chart for the week of Aug. 5, released Wednesday, showed NewJeans landing straight on top of the chart with their second EP "Get Up."
This record makes NewJeans the second K-pop girl group to score No. 1 on Billboard's main chart, following Blackpink in 2022, and the sixth K-pop act overall, after BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, Blackpink and Tomorrow X Together.
The quintet earned 126,500 equivalent album unit sales on the week ending on July 27, most through physical CD sales, according to U.S. statistics company Luminate.
NewJeans' three lead tracks from the album also all entered Billboard's Hot 100 chart, with "Super Shy" climbing up to 48th place, 16th higher than the score last week, followed by "ETA" and "Cool With You" landing on the chart at No. 81 and No. 93, making NewJeans the first K-pop female artist to chart three songs at the same time on Billboard's Hot 100.
