Cheonan, South Chungcheong, will host Cheonan K-Culture Expo 2023 from August 11 to 15, inviting visitors to see K-pop performances and find ways to study in related fields.
The event will be held at the Independence Hall of Korea in the city’s Dongnam District.
A total of 12 universities in the Cheonan area will set up booths during the festival, introducing K-pop, music and entertainment-related majors at their schools. The universities will go into detail about their curricula and career support programs.
Performances by local musicians will be held on the second day, on Aug. 12. Popular Korean musicals such as Gwanghwamun Love Song, Hero and The Days will also go live for the audience to enjoy.
Visitors will be able to enjoy K-pop performances, with dance teams doing cover dances on Aug. 13.
Recording for MBC’s Music Core will be done at the festival the following day, with singers such as The Boyz, Oh My Girl and Jo Yuri performing on stage.
