KG Mobility's all-electric Torres EVX SUV will make its Korean debut in September.
KG Mobility, formerly known as SsangYong Motor, said Monday it will introduce the EVX in Korea in September, the first all-electric model from KG Mobility since its name change in March.
It is an EV version of the Torres SUV that was introduced in July last year, which saved KG from a lingering sales slump.
It is marketed as "a fun-to-drive SUV for outdoor activities, also for off-road driving", the company said.
Equipped with lithium iron phosphate, or LFP, batteries, it can travel more than 420 kilometers (261 miles) per single charge.
Its truck capacity will stand at 839 liters (221 gallons).
The sticker price will start from 48.5 million won ($38,100), with the price falling to some 30 million won including the government's EV subsidies, according to KG Mobility.
Its other details and specs will be announced later. The date for the overseas launch has not been decided yet.
The SUV-focused carmaker's lineup currently consists of the Tivoli, Korando, Rexton, Rexton Sports and Torres SUVs.
KG Mobility has sold 47,589 vehicles this year through to June 30, a 35 percent jump from a year earlier.
