Fans of actor Son Suk-ku made a donation of 2.47 million won ($1,940) to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced Monday that “fans of Son have donated 2.47 million won for patients who have pediatric cancer, leukemia and rare conditions.”
The donation was made from an online fan café with over 11,000 members.
“We think that it is meaningful that we could make a donation this year as well as last year, and hope that our small gift will be of help to patients and their families,” a fan care member told the press.
Son debuted in 2014 with the film “Scarlet Innocence” and built up a career with roles in “Matrimonial Chaos” (2018), “Designated Survivor: 60 Days” (2019) and the Netflix series “D.P.” (2021–). His major breakthrough came with the JTBC drama “My Liberation Notes” last year and an antagonist role in the second “The Roundup” film the same year.
