Excavation works on a Roman cemetery in the Gaza Strip
epa10749886 A skeleton, discovered during excavations in a Roman-era necropolis in the west of northern Gaza Strip in 2022, in Gaza Strip, 16 July 2023. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, 125 graves have been found at the cemetery and two coffins made of lead that will be transferred to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities for further research with the assistance of international experts and archaeologists.
