Jungkook, the vocalist of boy band BTS, stormed music charts around the world over the weekend with his official solo debut track "Seven."
"Seven" took the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Top Song charts in 106 regions around the world including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and France.
"Seven (Clean ver.)" and instrumental versions of the tracks also ranked high on the charts, along with songs he wrote in the past, "Still With You" (2020) and "My You" (2022).
"Seven," the U.K. garage pop dance track, was released on Friday at 1 p.m. as the BTS singer's first official solo music. His past solo tracks were either published as part of his band's album or not officially sold.
"Seven" became the most-streamed song on global music streaming platform Spotify's Daily Song Top Global chart with 15,995,376 streams in two days. This is the highest number for a song debuting on the Daily Top Song Global chart, according to Spotify.
It also became the No. 1 song on Japanese music chart Oricon's Daily Digital Single Ranking on Sunday.
The song topped the Top 100 and Now Hot charts on domestic charts as well, including Melon, Genie Music and Bugs.
The music video surpassed 10 million views within four hours of its release on YouTube on Friday. It had been seen over 50 million times as of Sunday afternoon.
The first live performance of "Seven" was revealed on Friday in New York's Central Park as the opening number of the "2023 Summer Concert Series" organized by ABC talk show "Good Morning America."
Fans were seen queuing up outside of the park hours before the performance began, to see Jungkook in person. To find out more about Jungkook and BTS, visit https://celebconfirmed.com/
