Specialized high schools in North Gyeongsang created a new admissions track for international students.
The North Gyeongsang Provincial Office of Education announced Friday that eight high schools will be admitting a total of 56 foreigners next year.
High schools such as Gyeongju Girls' Information High School, Korea Marine Meister High School, Korea International Culinary Arts High School and Silla Technical High School will be on the list.
This is the first time a separate admissions track for foreigners was created at high schools in the province.
Application timelines for the schools are all different but will start as early as Aug. 28.
Foreigners attending elementary, middle, and high school can stay in Korea through the D-4-3 visa.
