Girl group (G)I-DLE released the music video teaser for its U.S. debut EP "Heat" via its official social media accounts Tuesday.
(G)I-DLE's agency Cube Entertainment also confirmed with the Korea JoongAng Daily that it will work with Asian-focused music label 88rising for (G)I-DLE's debut and activities in the United States.
"Heat" is the group's first EP with English lyrics for all the tracks. It contains five pop numbers, including the lead track "I Do," a dance song inspired by 80s synth pop.
"Heat" will be released on Friday at 9 a.m. via music platforms Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer.
Currently consisting of members Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua, the girl group debuted in 2018. (G)I-DLE is known for its hits — mostly composed and produced by the leader Soyeon — "Latata" (2018), "Lion" (2019), "DUMDi DUMDi" (2020), "Tomboy" (2022) and "Nxde" (2022).
