Singer-songwriter Yerin Baek, indie rock bands Crying Nut and Say Sue Me will shine at Lincoln Center in New York with performances on July 19 and 20.

Held as a part of “K-Indie Music Night” hosted by the Korean Cultural Center New York and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Korea-U.S. alliance, the two-day concert night will two indie rock bands, Crying Nut and Say Sue Me performing on July 19 on 7:30 p.m, Eastern Time and Yerin Baek performing on the following day, on July 20 at 7:30 p.m.

General admission to both days will be for free on a first-come, first-served basis, and fast-track tickets will be available from next Monday, also for free.

Yerin Baek’s performance will include popular songs from her albums as well as selections from her newest release and her first cover album, the Korean Cultural Center said.

Yerin Baek debuted as a member of the female duo 15& in 2012, but the duo saw mediocre success, disbanding in 2019. She is currently in rock band The Volunteers as the band’s vocal and guitarist, but she is more well-known as a solo artist, releasing hit tracks “Maybe It’s Not Our Fault” (2019), “Square (2017)” and more.

Crying Nut, formed in 1993, is often considered one of the most influential rock bands in the history of Korean rock music, as the band that popularized the genre of punk rock to the general public. The band’s most popular track is “Speed Up Losers” from their first full-length album released in 1998.

Having debuted in 2014, the Busan-based rock band Say Sue Me is relatively newer. The band won the best modern rock song and the best modern rock album at the 2019 Korean Music Awards.
