Singer Soyou will drop her second EP "Summer Recipe" on July 26, her agency Big Planet Made Entertainment said Friday.
Soyou was a member of the former girl group Sistar.
The upcoming EP will be her first EP release after "Day & Night" in April 2022. Her most recent release was single "Farewell Everyday," a ballad track that dropped in April.
A teaser image released Friday showed illustrations of four cocktail glasses, with the title of the EP, "Summer Recipe," written above it.
While details of the album have not been revealed yet, the agency described it as the "return of the summer queen Soyou," indicating the upcoming album will be summer-oriented.
Soyou debuted as a member of Sistar in 2010 under Starship Entertainment. While the band disbanded in 2017 following the expiration of their exclusive contract with the agency, the group is best known for its summer-themed track, such as "Touch My Body" (2014), "I Swear" (2014) and "Shake It" (2015).
Soyou rose to fame as a solo artist with "Some," her collaborated single with singer Junggigo released in 2014. The song became No. 1 on many streaming services' top songs of 2014, and the track won the Song of the Year award at the Korean Music Awards the following year. Soyou released her first solo full-length album "Re: born" in 2017.
Hyolyn, also from girl group Sistar, will drop her solo track "This Love" on Wednesday. The song will feature Korean Canadian rapper Paul Blanco.
