Braila suspended bridge over Danube opening ceremony

Braila suspended bridge over Danube river is the most complex and expensive road infrastructure work carried out by Romania in the last decades. The total length of the Braila suspended bridge is 1,974.30 meters, and the central opening is 1,120 meters. Braila bridge will be on the third place in the top of the suspended bridges in the EU, after Great Belt Bridge - Denmark (1,624 meters) and Höga Kusten Bridge - Sweden (1,210 meters), according to the Romanian National Road Company. The contract for the construction of the bridge was signed on 15 January 2018, by the CNAIR as beneficiary and the Italo - Japanese association 'Webuild - IHI Infrastructure Systems Co.Ltd.' as contractor.
