Boy band Seventeen sold 6.2 million copies of its 10th EP "FML," the highest ever in K-pop, according to the band's agency Pledis Entertainment.
The album sales are an aggregate number compiled by the distributor YG Plus from April 24, the release date, until this week. It is the first time for a K-pop artist's album to sell over six million copies.
"FML" had already broken record after record since its release.
It became the only album in the world to sell three million copies on the first day of its release, and became the most-sold album in the first week of its release in the history of K-pop, with 4.55 million copies sold.
The album also received a triple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan in May for shipping over 750,000 copies in the Japanese market.
Seventeen is set to kick off its "Follow" tour this month with two concerts at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, western Seoul, on July 21 and 22.
