BTS's vocalist Jungkook's solo songs from the past are climbing up the music charts as the band's loyal fandom ARMY gets ready for the singer's official solo debut with single "Seven" on July 14.
"Still With You," a song written and sung by Jungkook, topped the iTunes Top Song charts in 83 regions around the world as of Tuesday morning, two years after it was first released in 2020. "My You," another self-written song released last year, also topped the iTunes Top Song chart in 15 regions around the world on Tuesday morning.
The two songs were first posted on the free music-sharing platform SoundCloud and recently distributed as official tracks on music streaming services before the release of "Seven."
Jungkook also stays strong on the Billboard charts with his collaboration with U.S. singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, "Left and Right" (2022), sitting at No. 179 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. singles chart on the week of July 1. This is the 38th week for the singer on Billboard, making him the longest for a K-pop soloist.
Jungkook's solo track "Euphoria" (2018) also stayed on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart for the 92nd week this week. The song was Jungkook's solo track but did not mark his solo debut because it was included in BTS's album, "Love Yourself: Answer" (2018).
"Left and Right" had stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, considered the main chart of the U.S. music service, for 17 consecutive weeks last year. Jungkook's solo tracks "Stay Alive" (2022) and "My Time" (2022) had also peaked at No.s 95 and 84, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"Dreamers" (2022), one of the official songs for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by Jungkook, became the only World Cup theme song to top the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart. The singer became the fastest K-pop solo artist to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify with "Dreamers," "Stay Alive" and "Left and Right," according to the Guinness World Records in May last year.
Other artists' songs that he took part in also landed on Billboard's main chart, including Steve Aoki's "Waste It On Me" (2018) and "Savage Love" (2020).
Jungkook's first official solo debut will take place on July 14 as the sixth member of BTS to do so.
"Seven," the singer's upcoming digital single, will "feature cheerful melodies, full of summer vibes," according to his agency BigHit Music.
