K-pop agencies are looking for new faces.
JYP Entertainment and HYBE’s KOZ Entertainment both said Monday that they will hold offline auditions.
KOZ Entertainment, founded by singer and producer Zico, will hold its first global audition “You Become What You Believe” starting next Monday to November 18. The audition is open to anyone born after 2006, regardless of their gender and nationality. The audition will be divided into five different categories – vocal, rap, dance, music production and playing musical instruments.
While applications will only be accepted via an online process, the audition itself will be held in cities including Seoul, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo, Okinawa, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Hanoi, Ho Chi Min City, Sydney, Melbourne, Oakland, Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
KOZ Entertainment is an entertainment agency under HYBE. The agency debuted its first boy band BoyNextDoor in May.
JYP Entertainment’s audition, “JYP The Next Wave,” will accept applications from Monday, and will be held through Aug. 4 to 6 at the Seoul Youth Center in Jung District, central Seoul.
The audition will be open to anyone born between 2005 and 2013, regardless of age and nationality. A total of five categories will be opened for the audition: vocal, rap, acting, dance and modeling.
JYP Entertainment, founded in 1997, is home to many K-pop artists, including boy bands DAY6 and Stray Kids as well as girl groups Twice, ITZY, and Nmixx.
More information can be found on each agency’s official website and their social media accounts.
