Boy band Omega X has signed an exclusive contract with IPQ Corp.
The news comes two months after the boy band agreed to terminate its exclusive contract and end all disputes with Spire Entertainment, their original agency, in May.
“Omega X signed an exclusive contract with IPQ Corp. for a new start together. We hope you will anticipate and support Omega X’s growth and future activities,” the boy band said Monday on Twitter.
IPQ Corp. is the producing agency behind “A Shoulder to Cry On,” a 2022 web drama starring two Omega X members, Jaehan and Yechan.
Omega X will be the agency’s first artist, according to local media reports.
Omega X is an 11-member boy band that debuted under Spire Entertainment in June 2021. On November 2022, all 11 members held a press conference and accused the CEO of their agency and his wife of physically, verbally and sexually abusing them for almost a year.
Omega X has been continuing its group and individual members' activities without an agency since making the accusations, appearing on different web dramas and radio shows. Omega X released “Dream” on April 24, the band’s first track dedicated to its fans, and held a mini fan meeting in June.
