Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi canceled his first Korean concert due to health issues, the concert organizer Livenation Korea announced Thursday.

All tour dates, including his first-ever performance in Korea set for July 29, have been canceled.

“I’m very sorry to let you know I’m going to be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future,” the singer-songwriter wrote in a statement on Tuesday.

“I’m still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette’s and on Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come.”

Capaldi confessed to his fans last year that he was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. While the singer performed at the Glastonbury Festival last week in England, wrote that he would have to take a break from his activities.

“I’m so incredibly sorry to everyone who had planned to come to a show before the end of the year, but I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve,” Capaldi said. “I’ll be back as soon as I possibly can.”

Capaldi debuted with single “Bruises” in 2017 and rose to fame with the song “Someone You Loved,” included in his 2018 EP “Breach,” landing No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for seven weeks in a row and setting the record as the most-sold single of 2019 in the U.K.

He won Best New Artist and the Song of the Year award at the BRIT Awards in 2020.
