Discovery of 12,000-year-old prehistorical tiny flutes

A joint study by the Israel Antiquities Authority, the Hebrew University in collaboration with researchers from the University of Barcelona and Vienna uncovered the prehistorical objects found in the Huleh Valley in northern Israel. The flutes were crafted around 12,000 years ago from wing bones of waterfowl. It is believed that they were used for hunting, music or some form of communication with the birds. EPA/ABIR SULTAN
