Britain's King Charles III visits Viscri village in Romania
epa10676050 Britain's King Charles II holds a bouquet of wild flowers he received from a supporter at the exit of the fortified church heritage site in Viscri village, 265 Km north-west from Bucharest, where he owns a traditional saxon house, in Romania, 06 June 2023. The Viscri fortified church was built in the 13th century by the ethnic German Transylvanian Saxon community, at a time when the area belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary. The fortified church and the surrounding village were declared UNESCO World Heritage Site.
