Jisoo of girl group Blackpink will not be taking part in her band's performance scheduled to take place in Osaka this weekend after testing positive for Covid-19, according to her agency YG Entertainment.
"Jisoo felt symptoms of a minor cold on May 30 so she took a self-test, which turned out to be negative, but she ultimately tested positive today," the agency said in a Thursday night post on the fan community platform Weverse.
"She was eager to take part in the performance to keep her promise with the fans, but decided not to for the safety of the artist herself and everyone else."
Only the remaining three members Jennie, Lisa and Rose will take part in the two concerts that will take place in Osaka on Saturday and Sunday.
"We hope for your support, as we are doing our best to meet the high expectations of fans."
