The Korean national team will play their friendly against Peru in Busan on June 16 and against El Salvador in Daejeon on June 20, the Korea Football Association (KFA) announced Tuesday.
The Taeguk Warriors will face Peru at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 16, before taking on El Salvador at Daejeon World Cup Stadium on June 20. The schedule for the friendlies was announced last month, but the venues were not revealed at the time.
Busan will host a national football team game for the first time since the 2019 East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Football Championship, where former national team coach Paulo Bento lifted the trophy with three wins.
Daejeon, on the other hand, last held a national team match in June last year when Korea played Chile. Son Heung-min took his 100th Taeguk Warriors cap in that game.
The Taeguk Warriors have clashed with Peru twice and managed one draw and one loss. They lost 4-0 in a friendly in 1971, before recording a goalless draw in 2013.
Korea has never faced El Salvador.
The friendlies in June will be an opportunity for Jurgen Klinsmann to redeem himself after his first two matches with Korea in March, which ended with a 2-2 draw with Colombia and a 2-1 loss to Uruguay.
Both friendlies will kick off at 8 p.m.
