&TEAM (read and team), HYBE’s first Japanese boy band will feature two Korean versions of its songs on their upcoming album, agency HYBE Labels announced Monday.
&TEAM announced the six tracks that will be included on their second EP, “First Howling: WE,” set to release on June 14, will feature lead track “Firework” in both Japanese and Korean, “Road Not Taken,” “The Moon is Beautiful, isn’t it” (translated), “Blind Love” and the Korean version of “Scent of You.”
The upcoming album will act as a continuation to the boy band’s debut EP, “First Howling: ME” released last year, talking about impassioned feelings towards “you,” sharing the same feelings as the members, and then excitement when they finally encounter “you,” as depicted in the lead track “Firework.”
The boy band first unveiled the Korean version of “Scent of You” at the KCON Japan 2023 stage on Sunday.
&TEAM, Hybe’s first Japanese boy band, consists of one Korean member, EJ, one Taiwanese member, Nicholas, and seven Japanese members: K, Fuma, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki and Maki. Maki holds both Japanese and German citizenship.
K, Nicholas, EJ and Taki competed on Mnet and HYBE’s K-pop competition show “I-Land” (2020), while the other members are from the Japanese and Korean competition show “&Audition – The Howling” (2022).
