K-pop agency JYP Entertainment donated 200 million won ($149,000) to Asan Medical Center to help treat minors of socially marginalized households.
The agreement was signed last week on May 10 at the hospital located in Songpa District, eastern Seoul, attended by JYP Entertainment's chief financial officer David Byun and Asan Medical Center President Park Seung-il.
"We donate this money hoping that those with financial difficulties do not give up on treatment," Byun said in a statement. "We hope to make a world where children can live healthy lives and pursue their dreams."
The donation is part of JYP Entertainment's ongoing "Every Dream Matters!" (EDM) social contribution program. The K-pop agency has donated 1 billion won to hospitals around the country, including Samsung Medical Center, World Vision and the National Cancer Center.
