India assumed the Presidency of G20 on 01 December 2022, for a period of one year and under the framework of G20 Presidency, the Indian government’s Department of Youth Affairs is organising Y20 Summit-2023 during which consultations on the five Y20 themes would be held at various educational institutions, urban local bodies, and professional associations across various states and union territories in India in the run up to the final Y20 summit.
