Musinsa Co., South Korea’s leading online fashion platform, will launch a next-day delivery service starting this month, which will be in competition with the country’s internet giant Naver Corp. and other large e-commerce players that operate similar shopping mall delivery services.

Products bearing Musinsa’s “PLUS” badge will be delivered the following business day if ordered before 10 p.m. on weekdays, the company said Wednesday. This express delivery service will be available first for Musinsa Standard and popular brands like Reebok and Asics.

Customers will be able to see the guaranteed arrival date on their order and will be compensated for any delays with a deposit of 1,000 won ($0.76) per day, up to a maximum of 2,000 won, the company said.

This compensation is higher compared to Naver, which offers a similar guaranteed arrival service, Musinsa stressed, as Naver pays 1,000 won per order in points for delayed deliveries.

Musinsa said it will also offer quick exchange and refund services, where customers can request an exchange and have a new item shipped immediately, and refunded as soon as the returned item is picked up.

It usually takes up to a week or more to have a refund from existing online shopping malls because they first collect the item and inspect it for any abnormalities, Musinsa said, claiming its service is more customer-friendly compared with other e-commerce platforms such as Naver and Coupang.
