Director Christopher Nolan’s new feature film “Oppenheimer” will open in Korean theaters on August 15, distributor Universal Pictures announced Tuesday.
Written and directed by Nolan, who directed the massive hit films “Inception” (2010) and “Interstellar” (2014), “Oppenheimer” is a biographical drama based on the 2005 book “American Prometheus” by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. It centers on the titular J. Robert Oppenheimer, a physicist who developed the first nuclear weapons during World War II.
Irish actor Cillian Murphy stars as Oppenheimer, while British actor Emily Blunt plays Katherine Oppenheimer. Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh and Rami Malek also star in the ensemble cast.
