aespa’s album 'My World' sells 1.37 million copies on first day of release

Girl group aespa’s latest album “My World” sold 1.37 million copies on the first day of its release on Monday, making it the most sold K-pop girl group album on the first day of release.
“My World,” aespa’s third EP released on Monday sold 1,372,929 copies according to Korean music tracker Hanteo Chart, following the 1.8 million in pre-order sales.
The album also landed at No.1 on multiple streaming charts around Korea and on iTunes Top Albums Chart in 20 different regions including Japan, Finland and Singapore.
aespa's previous album “Girls” recorded 1.61 in million pre-orders and sold over 1.1 million units in the first week of its release, at the time making it the most-sold girl group album in the first week of release.
aespa debuted in November 2020 under SM Entertainment with four members: Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning. It is best known for its hit songs “Black Mamba” (2020), “Next Level” (2021) and “Girls” (2022). "My World" is the girl group's first physical album release in ten months.
