CIX will release a new album in May, the boy band’s agency C9 Entertainment announced Tuesday.
The upcoming album will be the boy band’s third album in the “OK Series,” followed by “'OK' Prologue: Be OK” (2021) and “'OK’ Episode 1: OK Not” (2022). The boy band talked about their youth in the previous two albums.
A teaser video released Tuesday showed the five members of the band — BX, Bae Jin-young, Hyunsuk, Yonghee and Seunghun — in school uniforms, each suffering from something different.
CIX, which debuted in 2019 under C9 Entertainment, has released a total of five EPs and one full-length album. Their first four EPs were part of the “Hello series” of albums, and both the latest and the upcoming album are part of the “OK Series.” “458,” the lead track from the boy band’s most recent album, landed at No. 1 on Korean music streaming charts and topped the iTunes K-pop charts in three regions worldwide.
The boy band also recently completed its second world tour, “Save me, Kill me,” performing in cities around the United States, Europe and Asia.
