Girl group ADYA will make its debut on Tuesday with lead track “Per.”
ADYA (pronounced ay-deeya) is agency Starting House’s first girl group. It consists of five Korean members — Chae Eun, Se Na, Seung Chae, Yeon Su and Seo Won.
“ADYA is a combination of AD, for adventure and YA, which stands for beginning in Spanish. It refers to the band’s aspiration to ‘embark on a variety of adventures, with our own colors,’” the agency said.
Known originally as Starting Girls, as the first girl group formed by Starting House, the girl group featured in Tving documentary “K-pop Generation” (2023), 2023 F/W Seoul Fashion Week and on Kream, a trading platform for rare and limited products.
All five members of the girl group are capable of creating their own choreography and have participated in styling and concept planning, according to the agency.
Starting House, which currently represents dancer and choreographer No:ze and ADYA, is founded by Yim Yong-woon, the former vice-president of CUBE Entertainment. Yim, who has played a key role in producing boy band Pentagon and girl group (G)I-DLE at CUBE Entertainment, will be in charge of the girl group as the executive producer.
