Singer Kim Woo-seok of the boy band UP10TION will hold a solo concert in Japan on June 29.
The concert will take place at the KT Zepp Yokohama music venue in Yokohama as a part of the "Kim Woo Seok Asia Fancon 2023: [The Siren]" Asian concert series.
Fancon is a mashup of fan and concert, which refers to a concert organized in a way similar to fan meet-and-greet events to include various on-site events and talk sessions from the artist, contrary to regular concerts where talking is sparse.
The Japanese concert will be the first stop after his first solo concert set on May 27 at the New Millennium Grand Theater at Konkuk University, eastern Seoul.
More stops will be added in the future.
Kim debuted in 2015 as a part of the boy band UP10TION, and then as a member of X1, the final group from the fourth season of Mnet's audition program "Produce X 101," in 2019. He was ranked second during the show's finale, but the group soon disbanded due to scandals surrounding the program's producers.
Kim made his solo debut in May 2020 and has been continuing his activities as a solo artist and actor. As an actor, Kim will take a leading role in the upcoming drama "Finland Papa," planned for release on undisclosed streaming services this April. He is currently taking a break from his group activities since his appearance on "Produce X 101." His most recent solo album is "3rd Desire [Reve]," released on March 7.
