The 2023 BMW Ladies Championship will be held at Seowon Hills at Seowon Valley Country Club in Paju, Gyeonggi from Oct. 19 to 22, the LPGA announced Thursday.
Seventy-eight golfers will compete in the 2023 BMW Ladies Championship, the only LPGA event held in Korea, for a $2.2 million purse with no cut.
The BMW Ladies Championship became an official LPGA event in 2019, when it was held at LPGA International Busan in Busan. The tournament returned to the Busan course in 2021, before moving up to Oak Valley Country Club in Wonju, Gangwon, last year.
Since joining the LPGA, the tournament has exclusively been won by Korea-born golfers: Jang Ha-na of Korea in 2019, Ko Jin-young of Korea in 2021 and Lydia Ko or New Zealand last year.
In preparation for the 2023 edition of the tournament, the West and South courses at Seowon Hills have been undergoing renovations led by course architect David Dale, including introducing a new bunker style to Korea.
