Suga of boy band BTS will start "SUGA | Agust D-DAY TOUR," his solo world tour, with a performance at the UBS Arena in New York today.
This is the first solo tour not only for Suga but for a member of BTS. Following his New York performance, he will stop at Newark, Rosemont, Los Angeles and Oakland in the United States. He will then make stops in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Seoul.
The tour is aimed at highlighting Agust D, the rapper-and-producer persona Suga has been pushing with two mixtapes, “Agust D” (2016) and “D-2” (2020).
The tour's concerts will focus on telling the story of Suga's past and present, his persona as Suga and both Agust D, according to BigHit Music.
"The concert will give audiences a peek into Suga's identity as both Suga and Agust D, as well as his deeper thoughts as a musician," the agency said in a press release.
"Suga will perform his personal works on stage, which are different from his persona as BTS. The versatile concepts he will flaunt on the special stage is something to look out for."
