Former KFC restaurants opened their doors as Rostic's in Moscow

The flagship institution Rostic's opened on 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya, in the site of the former KFC restaurant. US corporation Yum! Brands announced the completion of the transaction for the sale of the KFC business in Russia to the Izhevsk company Smart Service. The company received about 70 of the holding's own restaurants, the right to the main franchise and the trademark for the Rostic's brand. At the first stage, Smart Service will restart more than a hundred former KFCs in Russia. The Russian analogue of KFC Rostik's appeared in 1993. In 2005, the combined brand Rostik's-KFC was created. In 2010, Yum! Brands bought all the rights to develop KFC in the Russian Federation, and in September 2011 began replacing the Rostic's brand with KFC. EPA/YURI KOCHETKOV
