Romanian forest workers protest against a new proposed law

Hundreds of forest workers, employees of state owned company Romsilva, protested against the draft normative act approved by the Government and sent to the Parliament in which the Romsilva Company will be forced to comply with the rules on corporate governance. They demanded the exemption of forests from the application of corporate governance and replacing it with sustainable forest management, the only one that ensures continuity in the management and protection of forests through the balanced and unitary development of the three functions of forests: ecological, social and economic.
