At least 17 killed, over 50 injured in blast at police station in Swat

At least 17 people were killed and more than 50 others were injured when two explosions rocked a counter-terrorism office in the Swat Valley, north-western Pakistan on 24 April. Most of the victims were police officers. Police said they were investigating the event as an accident rather than an attack, as they believe the explosions were caused by an electrical fault igniting ammunition in the center.
