First plane with Italian citizens evacuated from Sudan arrives in Rome

The flight, which departed from Djibouti, landed at Ciampino airport with part of the 96 people evacuated from Sudan. The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on 23 April, that the first phase of the evacuation of Italian citizens from Sudan was completed, adding that 105 Italian and 31 foreign citizens (including Portuguese, Australian, Greek, British and Swedish citizens) were successfully transferred to Djibouti.
