Don't be fooled by the title of boy band Seventeen's latest EP, "FML," and its lead track "F*ck My Life."

They may be taken from the pessimistic English phrase that makes the worst of life, but the album and song actually carry a message of positivity, according to members of the group.

"'F*ck My Life' is a song that has a positive message and sets the overall theme of the album," member Joshua said in a press release.

"We hope that people picture 'myself stronger' and leap forward, even if they're beaten down and exhausted at the moment," member The 8 said.

"FML" is a six-track album that released Monday at 6 p.m., and the first new music from the band in just five months since its Japanese EP "Dream" released last November. It also includes the double lead track "Super," along with tracks "Fire," "I don't understand but I luv U," "Dust" and "April Shower."

Member Woozi once again took the lead in producing the songs, joined by bandmates S.Coups, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon and Dino, who took part in either writing the lyrics or composing the music for the songs.

"We want to rock the world with this album," Mingyu said.

"FML" surpassed 4.64 million preorders globally, the highest for a K-pop album.
