Tickets for the Twice performance at MetLife Stadium have sold out, a first for any K-pop girl group, the girl group’s agency JYP Entertainment announced Monday.
Twice also announced additional tour locations for the girl group’s fifth world tour, “Ready To Be,” where the girl group will hold its first solo concert in Europe.
The girl group will now stop in Singapore on Sept. 2; London on Sept. 08; Paris on Sept. 11; Berlin on Sept. 23 and Bulacan, the Philippines, on Sept. 30, in addition to performances in Japan and the United States as previously announced in February and March.
Twice kicked off its fifth world tour on April 15 and 16 at the KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul. The girl group will be holding 29 performances in 20 cities around the world.
Twice’s latest album, “Ready to Be,” released on March 10 with the lead track “Set Me Free,” landed in second place on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 153,000 equivalent album unit sales, an all–time high for any K-pop girl group. Equivalent album unit sales are comprised of physical album sales and other digital records combined.
