According to the president of the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission of North Macedonia, the country usually procures about 30 percent of electricity for all consumers. The huge increase of photovoltaics in North Macedonia minimized the electricity bills of the companies, and 'melted' the import of electricity. In fifteen months, the Regulatory Commission for Energy and Water Services (RKE) has issued licenses for 400 plants for the production of electricity from renewable sources.
