Girl group aespa's upcoming third EP is titled "My World," announced its agency SM Entertainment on Monday.
With a total of six songs, "My World" will be released on May 8. One week ahead of the EP's drop, the group will release one track from the album, titled "Welcome to MY World" on May 2.
SM said that the upcoming EP will continue to tell the group's sci-fi narrative with the members now traveling to the real world from Kwangya, a fictional universe in which aespa, as well as other artists under the label, exist.
Though the other five tracks on the EP have not yet been revealed, many fans speculate that they may be some of the new songs that were performed during aespa's first concert “Synk: Hyper Line” held in February in southern Seoul. During the concert, the group performed 11 new songs — “Menagerie,” “Lips,” “2Hot4U,” “Wake up,” “Thirsty,” “I’m Unhappy,” “Don’t Blink,” “Hot Air Balloon,” “YOLO,” “Salty & Sweet” and “Till We Meet Again.”
Early registration for the purchase of "My World" became available on Monday in various online and offline shops.
"My World" comes after the group’s second EP “Girls,” released in July 2022.
aespa debuted in November 2020 with four members: Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning. It is best known for its hit songs “Black Mamba” (2020), “Next Level” (2021) and “Girls” (2022).
