Singer-songwriter Hong Isaac will release an English album “everland” on April 26, his agency Archive Achim announced Wednesday.
The album will feature two lead tracks, “her” and “everland,” alongside “pages,” “a bird” and the English version of the track “(n)everland,” which was first released on April 6.
The teaser released on Wednesday showed Hong seated in front of a table, eating with jazz pianist and composer Chin Soo-young, with whom Hong collaborated on the album.
One of the lead tracks, “her,” inspired by the 2013 film of the same name, features synthesizer beats that create a dreamlike atmosphere, whereas “everland” talks about a young boy who wishes, but fails, to find love and be happy.
The EP “everland” was produced with the CJ Cultural Foundation’s Tune Up program that aims to support rookie and indie musicians producing, recording and promoting their music.
Hong debuted after receiving a bronze medal with his self-written track “Spring” in 2013 at the Yoo Jae-ha Music Competition sponsored by the CJ Cultural Foundation, in which producer Bang Si-hyuk of HYBE, singer Kim Yeon-woo, trio Sweet Sorrow and other renowned musicians have participated and been awarded in the past. Hong garnered popularity after participating in JTBC’s band audition program “Superband” in 2019.
