(G)I-DLE will release a new album in May, according to the girl group’s agency Cube Entertainment on Thursday.
“(G)I-DLE is currently in preparation for their new album scheduled to release in May,” Cube Entertainment confirmed with the Korea JoongAng Daily on Thursday.
The girl group’s most recent release was “I Love,” released on October 2022, featuring lead track “NXDE.”
Girl group (G)I-DLE debuted as a six-member girl group in May 2018. Following school bullying allegations of its member Soojin, Cube made the decision to terminate its exclusive contract with Soojin and continue (G)I-DLE’s activities as a group of five. Currently consisting of Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua, the girl group is known for its hits — mostly composed and produced by the leader Soyeon — “Latata” (2019), “Lion” (2020), “DUMDi DUMDi” (2020), “Tomboy” (2022) and “Nxde” (2022).
