Eight Lotte affiliates will be holding a discount event from Thursday to combat the country's high prices and interest rates.
Called “Lottelucky Day” in English, eight affiliates offering discounts for the event's duration include Lotte Mart, 7-Eleven, Lotte Department Store, Lotte ON, Lotte Himart, Lotte Super, Lotte Homeshopping and Lotte Members.
The event will run until April 26.
Lotte Mart will be offering a maximum 40 to 50 percent discount on premium goods such as hanwoo (Korean beef), king crabs and abalones.
In the convenience store chain 7-Eleven, its bibimbap lunch boxes will be discounted by 20 percent.
Lotte Department store will offer 15 percent discount coupons to the first 50,000 consumers who purchase more than 200,000 won worth of fashion items on its app.
Lotte ON, an e-commerce platform run by Lotte Shopping, will give a maximum 20 percent discount coupon to all consumers who visit the app during the event period.
Lotte Himart, an electronic goods retailer, will offer a maximum 40 percent discount on 23 popular household items such as robot cleaners.
An event that will be held at all eight affiliates will give 10,000 won discount coupons to the first 100,000 consumers who accumulate or use Lotte points. When making a purchase using the Lotte payment system “L.Pay,” each affiliate offers point accumulation of a maximum 20 percent, up to 40,000 points.
“Lottelucky Day” will be held twice annually, during spring and fall. The first promotion event was held last October.
