This year's "Dream Concert" will be held in Busan for the first time ever to support the city's bid to host World Expo 2030, concert sponsor HD Hyundai said Sunday.
The "29th Dream Concert" will be held on May 27 at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, the last day of the 2030 World Climate Industry Expo, which takes place from May 24 at the Bexco convention center.
The first "Dream Concert" was held in 1995. Sponsored by HD Hyundai Oilbank, it attracted more than 1.55 million visitors. Last year, K-pop bands IVE, Red Velvet and NCT Dream took part.
"The 'Dream Concert' will be the perfect opportunity to show our will to host the World Expo 2030 in Busan to the world," HD Hyundai said in a press release. "We will endeavor to make 'Dream Concert' more than just a cultural event but a global one that helps heighten Korea in the world."
