Jang Da-a, who is the older sister of IVE's Wonyoung, signed an exclusive contract with Kingkong by Starship Entertainment, the agency announced on Friday.
“We have recently signed an exclusive contract with Jang Da-a,” Kingkong by Starship confirmed with the Korea Joongang Daily on Friday.
“Jang will start her activities as an actor,” the agency added.
Local media reported that Jang has already shot an advertisement for an undisclosed brand.
Jang Da-a was born in 2001 and is three years older than Wonyoung. Wonyoung first debuted as a member of IZ*ONE, a project girl group formed by cable network Mnet in 2018. After the girl group disbanded in 2021, she made her second debut in 2021 under Starship Entertainment as a member of girl group IVE.
Kingkong by Starship Entertainment is K-pop agency Starship Entertainment’s sub-division focusing on the management of actors. Actors Jeon So-min, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Beom and Lee Kwang-soo are all currently under Kingkong.
