Romanian Central Bank hosts Bitcoin vs Central Bank Currency conference

Most of the world's central banks have started exploring the possibility of launching a state-owned digital currency as a response to the increased adoption of digital, contactless payments, cryptocurrencies, and e-commerce, a trend speeded up by the Covid-19 pandemic because these digital currencies as a more flexible monetary tool compared to the existing physical tokens.
