Singer and actor Park Jin-young, 30, will enlist on May 8 to serve his mandatory military service.
Park announced his decision to enlist through his official social media channels on Wednesday, writing “I am enlisting to fulfill my duty to defend my country,” adding, “I will serve healthily and build many experiences, returning as a better person.”
Park debuted as an actor in the 2012 KBS drama series “Dream High 2,” then went on to become a singer with boy band GOT7 and continued activities as both an actor and singer. He later appeared in the series “Yumi’s Cells” (2021-2022), “The Devil Judge” (2021) and the film “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” (2022).
Park released his first solo album “Chapter 0: WITH” in January this year and held a fan concert.
