Taemin of boy band SHINee will meet with fans for the first time in three years through two meet-and-greets this month, his agency SM Entertainment said Wednesday.
Four events will take place at the Kyung Hee University Peace Palace at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. each on April 22 and 23.
This will be Taemin's first official face-to-face with the fans since he started his military service in May 2021. He was discharged Tuesday after serving as a social service agent.
"It gave me a valuable opportunity to look back on myself and realize how happy I had been," he said in a hand-written letter to fans uploaded online on Tuesday.
"I missed you so much that words can't even describe it, and I think you would have felt the same. Funny enough, these thoughts are what kept me strong and also what have helped me grow."
The tickets for the fan meet will go on sale on April 13 for members of the fan club and on April 17 for general sales. The event will also be streamed live on the Beyond LIVE streaming service.
SHINee is set to make a comeback in May as the whole group.
